Print Settings & Assumptions
Files are sliced for a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height. Tolerances assume a reasonably calibrated FDM printer. Printed and validated on a Bambu P1S.

Assembly Guide

Install threaded inserts
Each ring segment requires several threaded inserts. This design uses self-tapping inserts and the hole sizes make it obvious which inserts to install.

Attach the hinge bushings
Press fit one end of the bushing through the top ring segment for both the 70mm and 80mm variety rings. Attach the base ring segments and secure with matching bushing screw.

Attach hinged rings to base
Select either the Arca-Swiss or Vixen base plate and then run four M5 screws through the base to secure to each hinged ring. Take care to ensure that the hinges are aligned to open in the same direction.

Attach top plate
Take four M5 screws and run them through the top plate to secure to the top of the 70mm and 80mm top rings.

Cut and place the foam rubber pads
Cut two 12mm wide by 105mm long strips from the foam rubber pads. Peel backing and attach along the inside of the 70mm ring segements. Cut two 12mm wide by 121mm long strips from the foam rubber pads. Peel backing and attach along the inside of the 80mm ring segments.
Known Limitations
Not rated for payloads over 2kg.
I am satisfied that the design and printing per this recipe are statisfactory for my equipment. However, you should adjust this recipe as you deem prudent and comfortable for your particular setup.
